Location: Rome, Italy
From the Architect: “In a Nineteen Sixties constructing nestled between San Giovanni and Pigneto in Rome, 02A Studio renovated an house by designer Valerio Ciampicacigli. The flat now merges the uncooked aesthetics of brutalism with the playful vibrancy of the house owners’ assortment of pop artwork.
“02A Studio preserved the open-plan residing area whereas reimagining the bedrooms to satisfy the household’s new purposeful wants. Throughout the 1,290-square-foot house, a main suite with an en suite rest room and walk-in closet was created, together with a bed room for his or her daughter Polly and a separate laundry space.
“The purpose was to infuse the area with distinctive parts that will replicate the persona and aesthetic of the purchasers, whereas honoring the spirit of the earlier proprietor’s design. Along with the purchasers, we sought a steadiness between Ciampicacigli’s uncooked, minimal model and their love for geometric patterns, pastel tones, and a sure softness. The result’s a putting interaction between rugged, uncooked surfaces and softer, shiny supplies.”
